Made with love in New Hampshire
What makes you happy? Would you say spending time with friends and family? Taking a road trip with your favorite music playing loud on the radio? Is it curling up with a good book and your favorite beverage? There are so many things in this life that make us feel happy and joyful, and that should include the jewelry we wear. If you were to take a look right now at the jewelry collection you have, does it bring you happiness? Does it make you feel confident and powerful? Does it take you back to a simpler time when life was “easier”? If not, ask yourself why you have it. Was it a gift and your sentimental heart won’t let you regift it? Was it something you saw in a store, and you thought to yourself, “Oh hey, this is cute and it matches my outfit.” Does your jewelry stand out because it’s one of a kind an unique, or is it trendy and something you see everyone wearing?
The Happiness
You may be wondering why I’m asking all these questions about our jewelry. Here’s why. I believe that the jewelry you wear, even what you wear every day, should ALWAYS bring you happiness. Not only happiness, but it should bring you a sense of joy, excitement, and CONFIDENCE! Jewelry is an emotional purchase, and if the pieces we wear don’t enhance or reflect our emotions, why do we wear them? I started this journey wanting to create jewelry that brought beauty to the world and made people feel happy. The pure joy I would see on my customers’ faces when they would open their boxes or bags… I loved that feeling. I still love that feeling. The majority of my creations were made using glass beads, pearls (glass or crystal-based), and a well-known brand of crystals from Austria. I loved the sparkle and so did my customers. For myself and many others, sparkle = happiness. Every piece I create is designed to bring you happiness and bring you some healing.
The Healing
Now you’re probably thinking, “Okay. I get the happiness, but what do you mean by healing? “ A few years ago, I started on a new spiritual journey. I started reading about using crystals for healing purposes, (like helping with anxiety, depression, and grief), as well as learning more about my own Zodiac sign and birth chart, Tarot, and especially Chakra work. This journey I was on started spilling over into the jewelry I was creating and the idea that I could also bring even a moment of healing to that person’s day started to form, but it would take some time to become a fully organized thought. The more I learned, the more I started to pay attention to the energies around me as well as what stones I was drawn to. I would see certain stones and at times know exactly who it was for, and others I would find out afterward who needed it. I also had friends and customers who would commission work from me with very specific energetic intentions. After a while, the fully organized thought emerged. I am creating something that helps people feel like they are being heard and being seen, loved, and protected. For example, when someone sees the piece that they’re wearing and is asked about it, it gives them the opportunity to share a bit of their own story (throat Chakra). Maybe they have a piece that makes them feel more confident and powerful (solar plexus Chakra) every time they wear it, or perhaps it’s a piece that brings up a fond memory and transports them back in time (heart Chakra). All those moments, on some level, provide some level of emotional healing, which can also lead to physical healing and wellness. It’s that mind-body connection that is so very important to all of us.
While I do enjoy creating ready-to-wear pieces, I absolutely love doing custom/bespoke jewelry. Using the information that I have about a certain stone or crystal, the customer, and trusting my own intuition, I create jewelry that brings people happiness, and the happier a person feels, the more they can heal. I believe that I am on this Earth to bring happiness and healing to people and I’m doing it one piece of jewelry at a time.
